UWC Senegal is part of a global network dedicated to promoting UWC’s mission of education for peace and a sustainable future. Our volunteer team works hard to identify and support young changemakers, ensuring that deserving students have access to the life-changing UWC experience.
1. Promote UWC opportunities
We raise awareness about UWC’s unique educational opportunities across Senegal, ensuring that students from all backgrounds can learn about and apply to UWC schools and colleges.
2. Select students with potential
Through a fair and comprehensive selection process, we identify young people who have a changemaker mindset, demonstrate leadership skills, academic potential and a strong commitment to UWC values. Nous menons les entretiens finaux avec les candidats qui sont d’abord sélectionnés par leurs établissements d’études, puis par le Ministère de l’Éducation Nationale. Nous sommes également responsable du design de la procedure de sélection conformément aux recommandations du bureau de International des UWC, assurons la liaison avec les collèges et soutenons les élèves sénégalais tout au long de leur cursus UWC.
3. Support students and families
From the moment a student is selected, we guide them and their families through the preparation process, helping them transition smoothly into the UWC experience. We also provide ongoing support throughout their time at UWC.
4. Fundraise for scholarships
Etant donné que notre objectif est de sélectionner les meilleurs élèves quel que soit les moyens financiers dont ils disposent, le comité est responsable de la collecte de fonds sous forme de donations privées, de contributions parentales ou de dons d’anciens étudiants.
5. Build a UWC community
We foster a strong network of UWC alumni, students, and supporters in Senegal, creating a community of like-minded individuals dedicated to making a difference. Notre CN anime le réseau d’anciens élèves sénégalais UWC à travers des newsletters, des événements sociaux ou des rencontres diverses.
